Use Crash Shot to defeat as many monsters as you can within the time limit. Defeating many monsters at once results in a higher score. As the test rank increases, stronger monsters will appear and you will need a higher score to pass the test.

General Tips

  • Several combat skill ranks will carry over into the test and will help gain more points.
  • Hitting at least three enemies with Crash Shot fragments will reset Crash Shot's cooldown.
    • Frequent cooldown resets are essential for passing D2 and D3. If less than 3 enemies in a wave remain, dispose of them quickly with windmill and magnum shot.
  • Points are most easily obtained by gathering enemies together for constant cooldown resetting. It may be helpful to aggro multiple enemies to gather them together. Urgent shot can be used between misses to increase the aiming speed of the following Crash Shot.
  • The penalty for death is 1000 points and the revival time. A single death can be enough to ensure failure at D3.
  • The crossbow has shorter range, but allows for running while loading skills and comes with piercing, which increases its damage. The short range should not matter since you will want to be standing very close to your targets for fast aiming speed.
  • The enemies in wave 4+ are weak relative to waves 2 and 3. Get to wave 4 as quickly as possible, both for the bonus points, and for the fact that you will earn points for defeating enemies far more quickly. In wave 4+, if you get a critical hit on a central enemy with crash shot just after the wave spawns, it is possible to defeat almost the entire wave with that single hit, a feat that is impossible with the stronger enemies on waves 2 and 3.
