The gang decides to host a concert to make up for Merlin's lost donations, but Starlet's dark secret threatens to derail the show. Meanwhile, Tarlach meets a mysterious man...
 

 

Iria II: Episode 2 - The Missing is the second episode of The Saga: Iria II. The Milletian and Merlin are left to watch for Young Tarlach, but he mysteriously vanishes. The pair enlist the help of Treasure Hunter to search for him.

To start the episode, open the Saga menu, select the "Iria II" tab, select "The Missing", and watch the Episode 2 cinematic.
After the cinematic, you will be teleported to the Stage in Emain Macha.

Instruction

  1. Talk to Starlet at Emain Macha Stage.
  2. Talk to Professor J at the Emain Macha Stage.
    • A cutscene will play.
  3. Help Starlet put on a concert.
    1. Part one of this mission will involve three sequences of crafting, in which you must speak to Boris three times to open a 3 by 3 puzzle interface to put items inside in a correct order. The items will not be consumed upon failure and will create new items upon successful completion. For images, see the "Visual Aid" Tab.
      1. The first recipe is four stacks of Large Nails in each of the corners and Wood Boards in the remaining five slots. This will create Slipshod Lighting Rig.
      2. The second recipe is four stacks of Wood Boards in each of the corners, the Slipshod Lighting Rig in the center, and Large Nails in the remaining four slots. This will create a Semi-complete Lighting Rig.
      3. The third recipe is the Semi-complete Lighting Rig in the center and Glittering Paper in the remaining eight slots. This will create a Completed Lighting Rig.
    2. Speak to Boris with the Completed Lighting Rig in your inventory and he will empty your inventory. You will be given a Quartz Plate. Right-click on the Quartz Plate and selct "Use" to perform Fossil Restoration on it to create a Polished Crystal.
    3. Speak to Boris with the Polished Crystal in your inventory to trigger a dialogue.
      • Speak to Boris to receive a Music Book. Use this item to prompt an interface of five composed Score Scrolls to pick from. Pick An Old Tale From Grandma - Hanstone. Equip the Score Scroll and use Playing Instrument it to complete the mission.
  4. Talk to Professor J at the Emain Macha Stage.
  5. Talk to Aodhan.
  6. Complete the quest. [30,000 EXP; 5000 Gold]

    • A cutscene will occur. You will be teleported to the entrance of Port Cobh east of Dunbarton.

  2. Talk to Merlin.
    • A cutscene will occur.
  3. Talk to Blackbeard, Black Bart, or Barbados, you will be asked to be taken into the Shadow Mission, Principles of a Pirate.
    • You will role-play as yourself.
    • The goal of this mission is to win an argument with all six pirate NPCs. There will be prompts in which you must pick an answer from a list of 2 to 40 possible come backs.
    • If there are 7 or more possible prompts, you may scroll up or down with the wheel of your mouse or by clicking the arrows in the right corner.
      • When you pick a successful dialogue prompt, the NPC will move backward and respond with a defensive prompt, in which you must respond with the appropriate offensive dialogue prompt. If you pick the wrong prompt, you will move backward and the NPC will respond with an offensive prompt, in which you must use the appropriate defensive prompt to not move backward and trigger the NPC's defensive prompt.
      • Each new line will be obtained once you see an NPC use it.
      • Assuming you pick no inappropriate answers, it will take three offensive prompts to defeat the NPC.
      • Each NPC will have their own dialogue combinations.
      • El Draco may not be challenged until the other five NPCs are defeated.
      • Who is winning the argument may be seen by the positions of the player and NPC. If you are losing, you will move backward to the left. If you are winning, the NPC will move backward to the right. When you or the NPC have won, the opponent will have their Cutlass flung from their hands.
    • NOTE! When you are given words, you are started at the bottom of the list. Recall that you CAN press the scroll arrow to move up the list to see more options!
      • For a list of possible responses and counters, see the "Response Guide" Tab.
    • When fighting Flail, use any combination of "Without confidence you are nothing." and "Watch out! I've got you in my sights." and "I could take you on with a belly full of rum."
    • When fighting Calico Jack, use any combination of "The eyepatch is a mark of a great pirate!" and "Bartender get me a drink! I can't look at this ugly mug sober." and, "Do you hear them cheering on their leader? That's me!"
    • When fighting Barbados, use any combination of "Bartender get me a drink! I can't look at this ugly mug sober." "The eyepatch is the mark of a great pirate." "If I knew they'd let a wimp like you be a pirate, I woulda joined the circus." And "Do you hear them cheering on their leader? That's me!"
    • When fighting Black Bart, use any combination of "Watch out! I've got you in my sights." and "Without confidence, you're nothing." And, "It doesn't take much to make me look great!" and "You've got a tough face to look at." and "Hey, ready to have some fun?"
    • Before fighting Blackbeard, go back to the other pirates to lose and banter with them for new sayings. Blackbeard is very offensive and is able to counter almost all of your sets if you don't! (Recommended Calico Jack for his come backs.)
    • When fighting Blackbeard, use any combination of ""Ya can't outwit me! I'm brilliant.", "You've got a tough face to look at.", "My glare is enough to defeat you, guppy!", "You're all looks." and "I may look weak, but I have my tricks!"
    • When fighting El Draco, use any combination of "Do ya hear them cheering on their leader? That's me!", "Any last words? My sword would like to hear them.", and "You're already dead."
      • El Draco is very aggressive, and in the case you do not use any of the ones listed, you will have to counter his argument.
    • If you leave or fail the mission, you will have every comeback and offense that you gained in the previous attempt.
      • Replaying Episode 2 will reset your insults & retorts.
    • Once you complete the battle against all 6 NPCs the mission will be complete and a cutscene will occur. You must manually leave the mission, afterwards.
  4. Talk to Annick.
  5. Meet Merlin at the pub in Port Cobh.
    • Talk to Merlin to initiate a cutscene. After, you will be taken into the Shadow Mission, Tarlach's Nightmare.
    • Upon beginning the mission, a dialogue will appear with Berched and Mores.
      • For the duration of this mission, avoid conflict at all costs and run along the path.
    • Upon finishing the dialogue, Glas Ghaibhleann will appear. Run along the path, away from Glas Ghaibhleann, towards the light until Merlin shows up. A dialogue will begin.
    • After the dialogue with Merlin, 8 Zombies will appear. Keep running along the path until Starlet appears.
      • The Zombies have the ability to run after you.
    • A cutscene will begin after the conversation with Starlet.
  6. Talk to Merlin.
    • A cutscene will occur.
  7. Complete the quest. [30,000 EXP; 25,000 Gold]

Missing

    • Merlin is located east of the Dragon Ruins, near a bridge.
    • You will asked be taken to the Shadow Mission, Crumena on the Rampage.
    • Upon defeating Enslaved Crumena, a cutscene will occur. You will be teleported out of the mission and to the north of the Dragon Ruins.
  4. Talk to the Treasure Hunter in Port Cobh.
    • Treasure Hunter is located near the entrance of the ship to Port Qilla.
    • A cutscene will occur.
  5. Complete the quest. [100,000 EXP; 50,000 Gold; AP 20 Potion]
    • Replaying this episode does not reward another AP Potion.
