Spirit Wands & Chain-Casting

At what Social levels do wands gain and upgrade their (alleged) chain-casting ability? And assuming this comes to pass... once they gain the ability to chain-cast, do they lose the ability to use Fusion Bolt or Magic Fusion?

Chaincast upgrades every 5th level (5, 10, 15... etc). You can still fuse, but chaincast will not apply. (Assuming on the fusing part.)

... What?! So by Social Level 20, an Ego Wand can summon up five bolts in one go? Before it even gets the summon-attack? I suppose I'll just have to see for myself if this ruins my ability to Fusion-Bolt... since I've found Ice-Lightning to be one of the most amazingly useful spells imaginable, and kinda don't want to lose it.

Have you actually tried that? I was under the impression that they couldn't fuse.

It blows up if you try to. Doesn't work with ego chaincasting either apparently.

wouldn't it be nice if they let us dual wield wands? i bet if the two wands had the same number of chain casting that fusion bolt would work,probably way too OP though, also being able to switch from using IS to thunder and visa versa(however you spell that) would be awesome.
