Shuriken Smash Hitbox Targeting

• Vs Giant Spider in Alby Normal: Makes me go under them and to their center hitbox in order to execute this skill.
• Vs Giant Spider in SAO Alby Zone 2: Allows me to execute this skill while standing outside of their legs, the edge of their hitbox.

... Weird.

Yeah, I don't much get it either. It's very bad at red dragon if you're aiming at a specific part. Some ancients also require you to be in the direct center of their large hit box and others of the same size don't. Might be a skill issue?

Well, these are the exact same monsters, just in different locations and one of them is an event monster. It strikes me as odd when I have to be at the center of one, but not for the other.

They may be the same...but did you check the size? Monster's size alters hitboxes, even if they have the same name.

Not to mention, just because they look the same, doesn't necessarily mean they are the same, especially if they're from different areas/dungeons.

Ranged Attack at furthest range appears to be the same for both.

I'm able to Smash with a shuriken outside the legs in Alby Normal... How many times did you test this exactly?

I've done it three times in Alby Normal, all made me go to its center.
