Trans while being life drained

Not sure if this goes here but, today while I was being life drained in Lingering Darkness by the boss, I used trans while I was being life drained. The life drain was canceled and afterwards I found I was stuck in a life drain state, where if I try to heal, it keeps draining me to deadly and I am permanently slowed to a walk. Is this bug well known? Also as a sidenote, it seems like a useful way to train heal.
