Broken Shuriken prevents loading of Melee Skills

“	When the shuriken is broken, Close Combat skills cannot be used.	„

Isn't that only true for Smash and Assault Slash? Nothing happens when loading them and no message is displayed. But with a broken shuriken I can load and use Defense, Counterattack, and Windmill just fine.
