From Mabinogi World Wiki

Though I wouldn't change anything before full confirmation, I believe theres a difference between the armored skeletons in Rabbie Basic and the field bosses in Gairech. The field bosses in Gairech are named "Skeleton Warriors", and even drop a slightly milky tan colored fomor scroll. As soon as theres a second confirmation I'll change it ~KitaeK27

battle participation

By the way, the exp is given from the perspective of soloing. Exp and battle participation will change when in a party with party members

battle participation never changes. as long as you hit the monster. Fruitrecruit

No, it does change slightly. ---Angevon

Skeleton Armors

Just as a notice, there's two different kinds of armored skeletons. One kind wears chain mail armor, and the other kind wears plate mail armor. The plate mail ones are found in albey, and sometimes rabbie, but they're pretty rare in rabbie.

Captain Skeleton

There was a listing for a "Red Captain Skeleton" which spawns in Runda Advanced, however, no such monster exists. I've wiped the information for that entry and renamed it to "Captain Skeleton" which does exist. If you can confirm that these are the same monster, please feel free to undo the change.Ziv 01:11, 21 May 2008 (PDT)

They definitely exist, actually they are pretty common. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neouu84 (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments with the Signature.png button or by typing ~~~~!

Hellhounds

I propose that the Skeleton Hellhounds and their giant variety be removed from this page - they are only skeletal in appearance and do not really share any of the normal characteristics of the skeleton monster type. --Lei Kuugo 03:15, 28 May 2008 (PDT)

Agreed. --- Angevon 08:30, 28 May 2008 (PDT)
Made it so. --Lei Kuugo 05:51, 29 May 2008 (PDT)

blah

the dark skeletons multi-aggro. i am sure of this because they are killing me

Skeleton Armor

I just noticed, the "Skeleton (Light Armor)", has more Life than the "Skeleton (Heavy Armor)", is this supposed to be like this? -User: MasterRyan, December 23, 2008, 6:47 PM EST

Oddly enough, yes, the heavy armor skeletons actually are weaker. --Naiya 09:48, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Candle Warriors

I question the medium detection range. I was in a room of Candle Warriors and one aggro'd on me from the opposite end, and I hadn't even run past it before. I think its detection is Far, and not Medium. --redemption2 16:30, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

metal skeleton windmill range

does annyone know if the metal skeletons windmill range is larger than that of someone with rank 1 windlill? I have been hit by metal a metal skeletons windmills while the no enemy in range message was flashing on my screen several times during solo rabie runs, and I have rank 4 windmill, so I'm positive that their wm range is larger than some1 with the rank5 boost, but i cant check with rank one yet because im not at rank one yet. Sozen Cratos Focker 05:07, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that metal skeleton's wm range is less than rank 5 because at rank 4 wm I can creep up slowly and wm them without getting hit. Easier in some locations than others because there's more markings on the ground to help gauge distance. Also, I do this with a claymore, never with a 1h because of the radius increase. Perhaps you're using a 1h? Or just rebirthed? Height due to age also makes a small difference in radius, the difference is more noticeable when you're in Pally or DK -- Ladywinter 22:49, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
this was b4 iria came out, so i was definately useing iether a clay, a 2h or an ice wand(wands seem 2 get more splash range than a 2h even thow theyre tiny 3hit weapons) ive always wondered if the weapon u use actualy has an effect on wm radius, but never really checked. i have noticed that i always have a larger radius when transformed, and have been asking ppl weather or not age affects it since g1, ty 4 teling me, i was under 13 when this hapened. Sozen Cratos Focker 02:59, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I was in an odd situation where two metal skeletons had different ranges, one was rank 1 range, the other F, or maybe one just didn't use the skill instantly?

Middle-sized skeletons?

Sometimes when I go into Rabbie, there's a spawn of skeletons that are smaller than normal skeletons, but bigger than the small skeletons. They were about the same height of my character at Age 14. --Hakumei 01:26 PM, 5 February 2009 (PTC)

This is pretty common for humanoids, they come in all different sizes, you just happened to get a uniform spawn. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neouu84 (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments with the Signature.png button or by typing ~~~~!

Skeleton (light armored) HP?

I noticed that Skeletons (light armors) were still standing after being critted for 368 damage while according to the wiki they should only have 360 hp, similarly Red Skeletons (light armors) were still standing after being critted for 399 damage. Perhaps the skeletons have slightly more hp than the wiki would indicate? They appear to have 370hp and 400hp respectively. Cirno 21:58, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

deadly maybe? the HPs are only approx. anyway--Fruitrecruit

  • If they went deadly they would've been forced into a knock back state, I critted them with the first shot of AR and they were still in their standing state. There's always the possibility that I didn't see my damage correctly but I'm fairly certain of what I saw. Cirno 01:23, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Guard Skellys

Are you guys sure that Guard Skeletons have Ranged? I dont see them use bows...

i have been sniped by them a few times, but they use their bows quite rarely Sozen Cratos Focker 05:56, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I dont see them equipped with Bows or Arrows o-o

really? maybe tone down patch got rid of their bows or something. or maybe each one spawns with different equips just like holow knights.Sozen Cratos Focker 21:22, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Look at the picture, it shows ABSOLUTELY NO BOW!

thats why i said each one might spawn with different equipment. some have a bow and some do not. Sozen Cratos Focker 05:31, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

armored skeleton sheilds

does anny1 know the exact autodefense %'s on the sheilds that the armored skeletons have? Sozen Cratos Focker 05:56, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

What do you mean? If they have a shield, and use defense they have 100% ranged and magic auto def. -Koiyumi

Skeleton Squads

My friend just finished Rabbie Advanced, and he said that when he used Icebolt or Lightningbolt on them, their explosion radius was smaller. When he used Firebolt on them, their explosion radius became larger. Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone confirm it? --Aramet 01:25, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Not likely. I'm guessing he just thought this because the explosion hit him when he finished it with Fire bolt and not when he finished it with Ice bolt or Lightning bolt. Fire bolt has a slightly shorter range than the other 2 bolt spells, and i need then do be right at the edge of my Ice bolt range without a wand when i hit them in order to not be hit by the explosion, so if you finish it with fire at max range without a wand, you will still be hit. Sozen Cratos Focker 05:29, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Do these exist in rabbie, basic too? I'm pretty sure that is what our leader dropped, we came across exploding skeletons, and the rest of the spawns seem correct for that dungeon.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Neouu84 (talkcontribs) . elemental information in basic info

i noticed shadowboy added some stuff about elementals in the details and someone removed it the same day saying it's in the charts, but i think that info might not be bad to have there. theres allot of different types of skeletons, and that trend in their elementals is actually real, and like information seems to be basic enough to count as basic information. it seems like it was just removed because the person who added it has a reputation for adding wrong/useless stuff to pages.--Sozen Cratos Focker 03:17, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

I removed it and the reason for removing it was redundancy >_> It's information found easily enough in the various tables so I don't see why it should be included in a section that offers less tangible information not found elsewhere. It happens in a lot of places but this was one example I managed to catch as it happened so I removed it >_> --Mystickskye 05:35, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
And its even easier if we just read the basic info rather than just scrolling down the chats. I would say to keep the Elemental Info. ~ Shadowboy132
I just said why NOT to. Redundancy. It's a massive problem this wiki has picked up with the pointless repetition of info that clogs up the pages. It's getting to the point where the pages are less accessible simply for the mountains of crap users have to wade through. Before certain users started "contributing" to this wiki it was for the most part much easier to navigate and browse for info so I wish said users would stop making contributions just for the sake of contributions.--Mystickskye 11:06, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Knuckle Deletion?

Who keeps deleting the fact that Full Armored skeletons possess Knuckles? How can they NOT have a 5 hit combo without them? ~ Shadowboy132

don't know, don't care. irrelevant --Sozen Cratos Focker 11:25, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Not to be immature but shadow sounds like a noob, they obviously have an adv N+1, as you can see from the picture, they don't have knuckles, they even came out first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neouu84 (talkcontribs) . Red Skeleton (Mini)

If anyone happens to run across one of these, can you take a picture of it for the wiki? The Policy states that mods shouldn't be blatantly exposed. --Aramet 20:33, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

for now, till we get a better one, you could just crop this one so the words don't show.--Sozen Cratos Focker 22:20, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Quality isn't that good, but I did it. --Aramet 22:34, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Dark Skeletons

Hello and forgive me if I do something blatantly stupid, first time editting a wiki. Anyways, was going through G2 on an alt and saw the Dark Skeletons kill a few pets through use of heavy stander and windmill. My problem is that I do not know what rank it was and have no means of figuring it out as I just beat G2 on my last human. I am going to make the changes to their skill list and feel free to change it back if I'm wrong, otherwise could someone figure out the Heavy stander for them? Thanks, now to hope the tilde thing works Rydrion 00:57, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

skills it has that are not yet listed in the chart: rank A intuition, rank 1 WM, rank f natural shield, rank f heavy stander according to race.xml--Sozen Cratos Focker 01:37, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Should those be added in then? or is the chart fine as is with just the windmill edit? Also I believe I changed the heavy stander to yes (if I understand the basic coding) but it didn't show up. Any idea why? Rydrion 01:59, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
i have no idea why it doesn't show up... i think we implemented the new table way to soon, still a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed..--Sozen Cratos Focker 02:55, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't show because you don't use y. You use 1 for level one, 2 for level two, 3 for level three, and n for when it doesn't have it. Same goes for Mana Refractor and Natural Shield. Go here and look under "Accepted Values" to see what you use for each slot. --Aramet 03:02, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
You beat me to it. I did a major facepalm when I realized the stupid mistake I had made. Assuming it is safe to say "rank f" is rank 1 heavy, if Aramet didn't beat me to that to I'll change it and add in the intuition and natural shield. Thanks
EDIT: Eww couldn't find intuition as a skill. It either needs to be added or I'm blind and need a guide. Could someone else do whatever is needed to make it work? Thanks again. Rydrion 03:08, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Right, that's a bit confusing. Intuition isn't the real name of the skill -- it's Instinctive Reaction. So instead of |SkillIntuition=, it's |SkillInstinctiveReaction=. --Aramet 03:35, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Pirate Skeleton (Hook)

it has fire element, ice bolt does more then usual;y, and fire bolt does less

Actually, before the New Table thingy, it was put as Fire Elemental but no one added it now. Changed it ~ Shadowboy132

Captain Red Skeletons + Music Bottles?

So far, I've never found a music bottle from a captain red skeleton, but I found a music bottle today from a Captain Skeleton (NOT RED. The ones from the boss). Is someone confusing captain red with regular captains? Or does it actually drop ? --Kevin Talk«) 20:42, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Giant Skeletons has mana deflector?

My two icebolts have been deflected when a giant skeleton was in defense state. So I guess he should have Mana deflector (level 0?). Emerald000 04:34, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

The Defense skill always does that. It do not mean the monster has Mana Deflector. --Aramet (Talk) 04:44, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
I often use Icebolts when the opppenent uses Defend, but it doesn't happen on most of the other monsters. Emerald000 04:55, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Most monsters don't use shields; Defense with a shield equipped has a Mana Deflector effect. --Duet 05:14, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Good point. I went to the Defense page, and there is no mention of that. Shouldn't it be added? Emerald000 05:16, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Armored skeleton AI

I'm preeeeeety sure that armored skeles have a different AI than normal ones. Bidica 19:38, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that almost everything has a unique AI. most monsters that appear to have identical AIs still have slight variations in things like the amount of time the pause before and after loading a skill, or how close to the player they stand when using ranged attacks.
Other than the fact that armor less skeletons run away when they first see you, i haven't seen any major difference in their AIs.--Sozen Cratos Focker 07:49, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Skeleton AI fixed/broke/changed?

Recently, I've noticed that skeletons seem to aggro faster/much more randomly than they used to, and I'm commonly multi-aggro'd now because of this. Anyone else notice this? ~Zallist 19:07, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Lately, with single aggro skeletons, I've been getting agroed by one when I have been fighting another for over 2 seconds, as if there was a long delay between the time it was decided that that one would aggro me(while no other was aggroing yet) and the time when it actually did aggro me (while i was already in another fight) not much of a problem since the single aggro skellys are easy anyway, but it is very strange. I've also noticed that lately most monsters can't hit me when i'm running/walking, away from them, regardless of how much faster than me they run. Though this could just be caused by server lag, it also might be an AI change. --Sozen Cratos Focker 07:53, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I have noticed that humanoid monsters seem to have an AI change on tuesday, which seems to have resulted in being more aggressive with attacks, as well as delayed aggro.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Neouu84 (talkcontribs) . The aggros are broken, i've been experiencing this with not only skeletons, but almost every mob that i come across. it happened after the g9 patch, but had happened a few times before after patches and maintenances, it's never taken this long to be fixed though :\. for informations sake, this is not isolated to alexina as alot of people beleave. i'm on Ruairi. Miyani 03:15, 10 March 2010 (UTC) Also forgot to mention, i've been getting attacked without the monster showing the aggro symbol first. Miyani 03:23, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
