Original Author's Comments

I did this entire thing from scratch, with the help of the people in my guild, the friends on my friend list, and random players, none of this is copied from any other source.

That being said, I'm missing alot of Proper Nouns such as Keywords and Items, as well as I wasn't very sure on alot of details. Lintor 14:24, 28 March 2008 (PDT)

Don't put too much effort into this, since we already have everything translated and ready to be uploaded once there is the first person to complete the mainstream scenario. Just basic points would suffice. Lunaria 09:07, 30 March 2008 (PDT)

Things to do

  • General clean-up
  • Use of official NA terminology
  • Item Images - Done
  • Links to other pages [[ ]]
  • Colored text for really important notes (for others bold and italics will be enough) — Kakurady

for book of revenge 2, it says just talk to eira then talk to lasas. it shuld be talk to aera, w8 4 her owl, talk 2 her again then talk 2 lasar

RP Character Selection

i just found out from some1 in the rabie dungeon rp quest that the game decides witch member gets witch missing warion based on ur number in the party. we checked this 3 times in the rabie dungeon rp quest (we where all at the same part of g1). by the way, incase annybodys wondering if they can be tarlach without being leader by using this, we tried it & u cant. leader always gets talarch, then the remaining player with the lower number gets the warior & the player with the higher number gets the archer girl.

when we tried it leader was 1 othey guy was 2 & i was 3, i got the archer girl other member got warior leader got talarch. wen finished, leader gave leader to the 2nd member & we went again. #2(leader) was tarlach #1(old leader) was the warior and number 3(me) was archer again.

annyway, some1 should update the guide with that since it doesnt say annything about that exept that the leader is tarlach.

  • About that... We found from trial and error that actually, it is based on where you stand. Stand facing the statue while on the altar, the left one is Mari and the right one is Ruairi (leader is always tarlach, More, etc.)--Sinnoaria

    • When I did three missing warriors Alby, someone else made the party then changed me to leader. I was Tarlech, he was Mari, and the third person was Ruairi. -goldfishesed
      • Sinnoaria, are we sure it has to do with position? Every Tarlach RP I've done has had the second listen member as Mari and the 3rd as Ruairi. This may be a very strange coincidence if it is based on where you stand, though. --FFVIISephy 16:12, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
        • Every single RP I've played, it's always the second party member to join (not necessarily who is #2 in the party order) is Mari, I've yet to see an exception to this. KisaiTenshi 19:24, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
          • So I started another character for fun after a long time of playing, and sure enough~ I prefer not to skip G1. The second person to join my party wound up as Ruairi, and the third person as Mari. So I'm just going to make a little alteration on the page there.~ Devi ~February 2012|| Extra: Whoever is resetting the page, you're only making the site look misinformed.
I was reverting the page because it's been there for a long time, and I didn't think that only your word that it was a coincidence is enough to challange that. (Check the history page - both Infodude and I put comments there.) -Akira 23:52, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
I was the third person in the party, and I was Mari. Rawrkitty 00:44, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
I was the second person in the party and I came out Mari. However, if 2 females join the party, the one with the high stats become Ruairi. Giant seem to turn to Ruairi while elves gets Mari. Though it wouldn't explain my recent run in a 3 person male party. The one with lower stats got Ruairi. So it is to my understanding that it is entirely based on skills and stats. this is based on speculations and my own experience...feel free to argue otherwise.Mikaya 01:00, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Well that's certainly an interesting take on it.. It's true that the second person was also female, but that's just by character, and it was actually my best friend, who I know has high ranked range skills, and is also an elf.. Whereas Rawrkitty there is a more melee oriented player.. I really want to assume now that it's just completely random x3; Though one thing that could apply.. is total levels? Higher=Ruairi, lower=Mari? That would be accurate in my case.. Devi 01:40, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
~So, we have more proof here now than just my word. Why are we still misleading people? Devi 15:42, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

question

do the red wings to albey dungeon have 2 be used from somewhere in tir na nog, or from annywhere?

They can be used anywhere, like any Wings of Goddess. That's ... kind of the point of them. Please timestamp your Talks by typing four tildes (~) in a line at the end of your post. Or type your name at the end so we know who you are. --- Angevon 08:53, 26 June 2008 (PDT)

Shiela's RP...

My friend was able to get a black pass, but it turned out he skipped Shiela's RP... I don't know how this is possible or should it be possible... anyone else know similar issues? --Kgptzac 15:33, 28 June 2008 (PDT)

I think it is because the keyword from the dungeon is an optional keyword. That is iirc, so i'll have to double check next runSinnoaria 18:49, 3 August 2008 (PDT)

If you gain a title in an RP does YOUR character gain the title or does the NPC you're playing as? I ask because of a recent edit about the herb patches that I think may be off. Locustic 01:57, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Book from Aeira

Does it actually have to be the next IRL day or is it just a long wait?Sinnoaria 18:49, 3 August 2008 (PDT)

I did talked to her using the keyword on Saturday, 06/27/09. When I talked to her on Monday 06/29/09 she says its still being printed and I didn't get the owls quest. How can this be? Silversurf

I had this same problem. I waited too long, approx. 2 days, before asking her for the book again. The owl never came. I talked to her again the next day, and then the owl came shortly thereafter. This leads me to believe you need to talk to her on two consecutive days, with the separation between the days being Midnight PST. Hope this helps. Insensate 21:49, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Goro's Ring

For Goro's Ring part, are you allowed to use pets to help you fight during the boss? --Kevin 02:30, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

You can use pets. It's just partymates that mess it up. --- Angevon 03:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Goddess Pass

if i were to use my goddess pass, and change the party leader to someone who needs to beat G1, and i already have beaten it, will they be able to get credit for beating G1, and willl i get another goddess pass? TGFL 7:32, November 22

If you've finished G1, your Goddess Pass won't work when you try to drop it on the Albey altar.--Naiya 02:24, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Now I will know to keep it as a memento x3 --TGFL

Goro's Ring Party

I heard that you can't do the party then all leave before boss thing...is this true? I doubt it but making sure. -nasa0003, Nov. 28th 3:24 pm EST

To get Goro's Ring, the person doing the G1 quest must drop the Basic pass. You may bring a party, but they must leave the entire dungeon before opening the boss door. --Kevin 20:39, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Question

If you rebirth during the quest, once you reach level 5 are you able to pick up where you left off? --Nasa0003 14:19, 29 November 2008 (UTC) Additionally, is it truly necessary to be at midnight to receive the book? (http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/index.php?title=Generation_1#The_Land_of_Eternity.2C_Tir_Na_Nog) and, if it is, is it necessary to be at PST? would EST work?

Yes, it counts server time. :< Must be PST.

I did some more searching and apparently some people believe it is around 12 hours ... could someone verify this? otherwise I'm going to have to drink a lot of caffine, lol. --Nasa0003 02:13, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Verified. The next day (in PST) works.

You can pick up where you left off, time between quests or parts of quests is irrelevant unless the quest specifically lists a time frame in its description. As far as I know, none of the mainstream quests do so.--Jacobpaige 18:51, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

RP Tarlach Glasses Pouch and Kristell Succubus

Can you take a party with you and make them leave before boss room? And can you re-do the whole quest? As in getting a second glasses pouch and doing Rabbie again? ~ Alexx

I believe it's only a solo RP, but Tarlach is pretty strong. I only died twice, because I was just having fun with his higher ranked magics. You cannot redo an RP quest. --FFVIISephy 16:08, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

NPCs of Generation 1

Why are they on this page?

It's kind of a spoiler, even though then again, the page says directly that it is a spoiler page.

Even so, Generation 2 and 3 don't list their NPCs...

Should the NPC's even be on the page? Don't they exist in the NPC page? o~o ~Rusty~

Official Guide

Should we link to the Mabinogi website's official guide of this generation on this page, and should we do the same for other pages, as well? Andina 22:00, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Bizarre...

Alright, so, I was standing at Tarlach to finish my Making the Anti-Fomor Robe quest and someone was trying to get the Tarlach keyword. I told them to be patient and that it may take a few herbs, when they told me that they'd given sixteen, the bear had written its name in the snow a whole bunch of times, and that they haven't gotten the keyword yet. They then proceeded to list the keywords that they DID have, which included the "How To Reach Tir Na Nog" one, so I told them that they were almost at the end of G1 and that they don't need the Tarlach keyword. They said that all of G1 that they had completed was the lost earring quest, and they refused the idea that they had skipped G1, stating that they had the "How To Reach Tir Na Nog" keyword from Meven before ever having talked to the Weird Cat. I really don't believe that, and I believe that they skipped G1 at some point, but they said that the only time they had ever talked to the Weird Cat was during an event. I'm wondering if they fell into some sort of glitch when they did that that ended up skipping their G1, or if they manually skipped it/finished it and do not remember. I do think they said that they had a G2 quest as well, so I don't think it's a glitch that got them a keyword early. --Jerl 06:31, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Page Title

I've already posted something like this in the Mainstream Quest talk page, but for good measure, I'll ask here.

Since the G7 mainstream quest page has been title "Ancient Secrets of Irinid", don't you think that perhaps the G1-3 pages should be titled for their respective generations as well? Is there a way a user, perhaps admin-level, or whatever, could change the titles of pages? I believe it would look neater and perhaps less boring if each Page were labeled as something like "G1-Advent of the Goddess." It would not only keep the quests listed in order, but I find it looks better than seeing "Generation 1, Generation 2". Anyone agree? --FFVIISephy 16:20, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

G8S5 Advent of the Goddess Update

The "Land of Eternity, Tir Na Nog" book from Aeira no longer requires waiting past midnight PST to receive the quest. The owl arrives almost immediately- within 1-2 minutes. I'll update more as I progress through the generation on this new character. -- Jspillers | Talk 10:02, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

The snowman now has a golden sparkle on its head to indicate which one it is, and it also only takes one strike to find the earring. The level cap to enter Tarlach's Altar has been reduced, or possibly removed.--Conor 16:32, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding the list on the page, I don't think the Mores/Shiela RP has changed at all. Having redone it myself, it seemed like the length was similar to the last time I had done the RP, before the update. As well, there's no xml indication that it changed, while there are new entries for each of the changed dungeons (Ciar/Barri/Fiodh/Albey). Can anyone else actually tell a difference? --Duet 01:23, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Also regarding the list, I just finished a Black orb and Final. Neither seemed any different. Still 2/6 floors, same bosses and minibosses, didn't notice any changes.--Adam487 00:34, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

YES! FINALLY!

I HAVE BEEN WAIT- erm, maybe i should stop caps, i have been waiting for nexon to change the dungeon for Goro's ring for a while now, yippie--Dtdsora- no page as of yet- u can make it urself 01:24, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

What? G1 ciar basic boss room was a joke. I nailed that dungeon with just a total level of 30. --Miyuna 12:36, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Bind Magic Quest

If me elf has not yet completed it (she has the old quest that needs 50 zombies), is it possible to ditch the quest and get a new one? I dont wanna risk ditching it if it cannot be regained. --Seiyura 08:37, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I thought only humans could get the bind quest D: Seeing as G1 is Human.... Has this changed? --Haven923 04:44, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
No. It was always like this in the beginning of time. "Bind" Quest isn't technically related to G1, but its recommended to do it incase you die.
Because its not related for being a Generation quest, anyone can do it. ~ Darkblade132

Someone edited the Bind Quest to update it for the G1 nerf, and says that "you don't appear near Dougal", I'm wondering if they were maybe confused where they are supposed to appear, or if there really is a glitch? I can go confirm this with another character. KisaiTenshi 07:26, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Comfirmed on Alexina, If you previously had done the Bind quest (the one with the 50 zombies), and completed it, you will revive at the crater in the middle of Another World (Tir), but if you do this new Bind Quest with a new character that has never been given the 50 zombie bind quest (eg in my case an elf), even if they complete the Bind Quest, they will not be given the option to "revive in town", only "Revive at Barri Dungeon Entrance". This appears to be a bug in the new Bind Quest. KisaiTenshi 08:12, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Does that mean revive by feather doesn't work? ~ Darkbblade132
"Wait for rescue" is still available, like anywhere else. Just in in the Another World area, you will be waiting a long time (if not Saturday) for someone to come and rescue you. Completing the Bind quest is supposed to give you the option to "Revive in Town" which puts you in the crater at the center of the town, near Dougal. But instead only "Revive at the Barri Dungeon Entrance" and "Wait for Rescue" is available. You can be revived by feather/advanced feather as usual if you wait for rescue. KisaiTenshi 07:27, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
I see but... still... its bad in its current condition... ~ Darkblade132

I am a new player who did the glitched quest after the January patch, and I'd just like to say... it's been fixed! Or at least, it's fixed for me. Screenshot here. (WOO HOO! No more reviving in Barri lobby.) I'm not touching the article, though, not until someone else is willing to commit suicide in TNN to confirm. o3o Eralea 15:20, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Black Fomor Pass

About this section of the update list...:

  • Barri Dungeon to Tir Na Nog I.E. Black Fomor Pass.
    • You must still be level 25.
    • The Date restriction on the Evil Black Pass is still Saturday only to open the door.
    • It is possible to enter the dungeon, but not open the door to Tir Na Nog.

Why is this here? This is exactly the way it was before the update. It has always been possible to enter the dungeon on any other day and progress up to the door before being stopped. Axzem 07:30, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

"Morrighan's Betrayal" keyword

What happens when you talk to Tarlach with it? The keyword description says to talk about it with him, but some jerk turned off my connection before I could and it's been replaced with the new one. Ugh! I know it's not necessary to talk to him, but does he say anything interesting? Eralea 07:21, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

I forgot to write it down... sorry... but i did get everyone in tir's reponces i didn't talk to duncon though and i went to housing channel and ended up getting the Goddess request keyword before finishing... --chrissy of hailfire 07:38, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
So now you know. Domirade [Tarlach] 02:24, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

"Magic Powder of Preservation" Fiodh

I ran it with a friend for her G1 quest and did not see any of the changes mentioned. Gorgons were still there, rooms spawned 6-8 Jackals each time and there was still 6 Werewolves per wave. Dungeon length was like a normal Fiodh too. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else or they reverted it during the Feb 22 patch.--Piamette 10:50, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Ran it again today and noticed all the changes implemented. There was only one Werewolf/2 Jackals per pole, etc. Taking off the Not Implemented status for now. =x --Piamette 14:50, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Magic Powder Fiodh

As of three days ago, when I did it with a friend, the Fiodh Magic Powder of Preservation dungeon was not the short-hand version as described in the new changes section. It was pretty much a Fiodh Normal, with Gorgons and everything. I'm making a note of this for now. Maybe Nexon will re-nerf it at a later date. --- Angevon (Talk) 01:05, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Magic Powder Fiodh

One more to chime in on this dungeon. 2 Gorgons Fiodh Normal (did it today Apr4 2010) Jeddak Alexina

Did this today with an Iria Human and got the new version of Fiodh Dungeon (1 Werewolf per spawn, 2 Jackals per spawn, no Gorgons, etc.). This is on the NA server, as someone posted info from the EU server about the Brown Fomor Pass in the section below. --ZRoc (Talk) 18:41, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Brown Fomor Pass (Barri Dungeon)

Did this today with a Uladh Human and the end room bosses were 1 Black Wizard and eight Wisps and not 1 Black Wizard and three Wisps (as stated for the new easier version of G1). As with Angevon's post above, I'll leave this here for now, in case Nexon reverted to the old version by mistake during an update or something and decides to go back to the new version later on. --ZRoc (Talk) 02:56, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Interesting. We most definately have the new version on MabiEU still, just did one yesterday. --Hecate 04:06, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
Did this quest again (a few weeks later) with another character and I got the new version of G1, so Nexon may have changed it. This character was an Iria Human though, so not sure if that made a difference. Note that, what occurs on MabiEU may not occur on MabiNA. --ZRoc (Talk) 17:01, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
A friend of mine JUST entered the boss room and got 3 wisps. I'm going to change the actual quest part to list the number 3, as well as add it back to the beginning of the article. --Jerl 23:33, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, I edited the part in the actual quest description. Just as a note, I also remember only getting a spawn of 3 wisps on three other recent Brown Pass runs I've done in the past month or two. --Jerl 23:44, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Jan 13th changes

How long should we wait before removing this big section that lists all the G9-patch changes and putting them into the main article? It's been months since they were implemented and I remember reading that EU already has them implemented, so they don't really need to be noted. The pre-G9 changes guide could be archived if anyone really feels it's necessary. --- Angevon (Talk) 15:49, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Why not just remove it now, and archive it somewhere since some people will probably insist on doing so. It's been there long enough, and I don't think it matters much anymore. --Link 02:58, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

/: I think we should just shrink(place it in that pop-out box thingy :/) the G1-changes (as of g9) and the npcs involved in g1 as well.(since they're semi-important - non-important to some) SoraHikari 01:01, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Didn't we do something similar like to the G3 page? xD Why not try it again for here? --Miyuna 02:17, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

/: Which part of the G3 page should we try for the g1 page? :/ SoraHikari 15:18, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
