Fomor/Fomorian

Fomor/Fomorian

I don't recall the word Fomorian being used to describe the people, just the culture. Perhaps we should move this page to Fomor?

Pyro - (Talk)20:21, 27 September 2011

Fomor is the commonly used term, but Fomorian is the real term if I am not mistaken.

Where do you see the word Fomorian used?

It's like calling Patholon people "Partholonians."

but that word got used...I always saw it written as "Fomor," or "Fomors," but never "Fomorian..."

Could be a long shot, but maybe Vindictus used the term? (I only played beta on Vindy, don't ask me to play it)

"Fomorian Emblem". Its right there in the beginning, and is the name of the second battle.

Besides the myth I can't remember...

Should we move the page until further notice? I'm still on Generation 1 so I'm not entirely sure yet. (No mention in G9-16 for sure.)

Even if it is used in Vindictus, doesn't mean it should be used here.

Pyro - (Talk)16:57, 4 July 2012

Personally, I don't mind the term.

Eh I really don't care...

A quick check shows that the first four pages I've searched containing the phrase "Fomorian" did not have that word before 2010 (the year Vindictus was released). So an initial conclusion is that, yes, it was Vindictus that first introduced the term.

That doesn't mean that the phrase hasn't been used since in Mabinogi, however. I'm somewhat sure I saw the term in Mabinogi's dialogue boxes before. I just question the context of the word, though - I thought that Humans were to Fomors what Humanity is to Fomorian.

Well...for now, I vote to keep page as it is.
