Request to ban seecret
Seecret's been causing reverting wars on alot of pages recently, could he/she be banned if all they're going to do is replace pigs with replica's just to 1-up their fashionogi characters?
The only issue between images is that the wig obscures tail. This is a minor thing, but probably the main reason it was replace. The first images look just fine o.e
If you're saying all the other replacements she's done, then I can tell you why.
- Cat Cape: Outline rendering was on. While this is minor, I'm pretty sure that the wiki prefers no outlines over outlines.
- Del's Lueys' Frilly Dress: It is higher res and has no idle pose active.
- Dark Knight Set Female: The whole set is now taken under normal lighting instead of that...film shader filter thing...
- Dark Knight F: More focused on the armor, though in my honest opinion, I'd rather have the whole body in the shot since I'm used to seeing it like that, but that's just being me.
She has her reasons to replace the images and all of them have been for the better. and Seecret didn't upload this picture so I'm not sure where your blames are coming from.
How about this: we ban you instead.
Policy says:
- Try to wear only the gear that you are planning to display.
- If you are displaying clothing that covers the hands or feet (such as dan uniforms, clothes with stockings), do not wear gloves or shoes.
- If you are displaying long gloves or boots, do not wear a robe or long-sleeved clothing that covers part of the glove or boot.
- If you are taking clothing pictures and your character has long hair that gets in the way, wear a headgear that covers it. A cheap headgear that does this is Popo's Merchant Cap.
Like Mikaya says, the wig is blocking parts of the tail. That violates the third rule here.
The tail thing is rather minor, but for some, can be a bit bothersome as you really can't tell angle of the bend. It's trivial at best.
IMO I think the hair is also kind of distracting...
@Angevon, you're going to have to delete the revisions if you want to hide the revision summary. I can see it in plain sight on the file page.
I just saw this and I really don't see anything I did wrong? Why is it that I'm the only one (that I know of) from the wiki that gets drama for contributing o.O? Isn't that what we're supposed to do on the wiki? Like really...what did I do wrong xD
Seecret does a lot of work for the wiki, and a large portion of the good quality images come from her and a lot of others. It's not nesscary to ban someone unless they have done something seriously wrong. The differences between those pictures is so miniscule it's no reason to have to have reverted that, or even make a topic or mention banning...
From your revision history, this sounds like it isn't the first time you've picked on someone over an image.
Which reminds me, http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Special:Contributions/Leirania
That account looks like it was only made to nitpick and revert images (particularily Seecret's) without sustantial reasoning. It's obvious it was made just for reverts because it reverted the Nightgown due to 'hair covering', but then later reverted the Devil Costume to something that wasn't Seecret's ... even though her version didn't have the clipping.
But seriously, there's been a lot of reversion wars the last couple days and like.. If people are genuinely trying to 'improve' the wiki, then they wouldn't worry and fight about a single image. They'd go replace other things.. But it's obvious that in most cases it's an attack against a certain person, or for wiki fame. It's really silly quite honestly. There's no reason to attack someone else over an IMAGE, on a GAME.
LOL.
Honestly, from what I've seen, Froglord and the drama-seeking queens going after Seecret all need to be banned. While there are some legitimate reasons to alter a picture and give revision, there is no need for the excessive amount of insults and harassment being flown at a user, because she's been on the Wiki for the longest time, knows the structure of the rules here, and reverted your image due to violations in your image.
I love how the definition of her professionalism of posting pictures on the Wiki somehow ends up accusing her of being a "camwhore", "whore", and all of these disgusting comments coming out of the woodwork from such vile people. If you don't have the maturity and respect others on this website, then I see no need for people (like Froglord) to be on this website. By such behavior you're promoting on this website (Froglord and others), you're showing hypocrisy, because you want yourselves on there and bash someone down in the process. Revision wars are one thing, but getting down and dirty with insults to get their way? There should be no tolerance for that shit.
If a moderator please be so kind, get rid of the trash *cough*Froglord*cough* and get a can of air freshener, because I don't think this Wiki needs this stench. *struts on out of this thread*
Would this be a good place to re-address my pet peeve of really young characters modeling clothing with hoods? The large heads distort the size of the hood, and it clips through details.
Notice the wings on [1], and the difference between the muffler on [2] and [3].
My request is not targeted towards anyone in particular ((sorry Litehaku for all the examples being yours. They were the most recent I could find. ^.^;;)) but it would be nice to get it addressed while we're still on this talk of banning.
Maybe starting a discussion for this topic could be started on the homepage, but it doesn't seem to fit this topic very well >< Anyways I'm off to bed now night night~
My New messages exploded from 1 to 14...that aside, Head size (for some estrange reason beyond my understanding) does not get scaled as much compared to body size. The head of a giant is about the same for the head of an elf, which is comparable to humans...speaking of heads, the hood covers the scarf on the Gamyu and, unfortunately, needs to be addressed. While on the topic of heads, I believe some heads needs to be cut out of the picture, particularly those harassing Seecret. I've notice in the Revision logs regarding her uploads makes it apparent that people, in one way or another, are smearing her work on the wiki as personal fame. I know it's sometimes weird to find that when new content comes out, there's always a person that is willing to contribute for the sake of time constrains, such as limited time only. While it may seem like only one person is doing all the work, it doesn't mean that it's just one person alone, but a multiple people helping. Other times it may seem like it's just one person with no life. Some people have more time than others. Everyone who contributes is considered a volunteer. The wiki, in a way, is a professional workplace. You respect your fellow editors, and respect everyone decision on something. If you can't handle one person doing all the work, then you leave them alone. If you consider them a credit hog or something similar, get out of here. The wiki is place of collective information that is used to help others, not to help yourself. I say cut the dead weight and move along, there's plenty of other things to do than harass people who are actually following the policies set on the wiki.
Off-topic: Buahahahha!
Don't you ever mark them as read?
