Episode 0 of The Saga: Iria

As of the Dec. 6 patch, Shamala and Nightmare became Episode 0 of The Saga: Iria and is treated as such (meaning you can reap the Daily Bonus on certain days). However, unlike the other episodes, it cannot be replayed.

The Saga: Iria is now treated as Generation 17 with The Saga: Iria II being Generation 18, if the new Chapter Info menu (which replaced the Saga menu) is to be trusted.

I'm going to try to reword certain things on the affected pages to reflect these new changes, however I'm curious of how I would go about with renaming the page to "Iria: Episode 0 - Prequel: Shamala and Nightmare"...? It doesn't look like there's an option to rename pages and I don't want to create an entirely new page with the current info just pasted over and altered slightly if it's not appropriate.

I don't mean to be a bother by bumping this, but as I've already went through the rewording process some time ago, I'm still curious and unsure of how to tackle the last bit I mentioned.

Shamala's Disappearance

Quite a lot of people are having difficulities in this quest because Shamala's AI seems broken. Took me whole day, but I think I figured out how to "tame" Shamala.

  1. Step away from all monsters.
  2. Wait until Shamala has done her killing and returns to you.
  3. Run into direction of monsters until Shamala starts attacking again.
  4. Step away again.

NPCs AI when they are allied is really...buggy. As of late, they have been acting weird. From what I noticed:

  • They will only aggro anything near them as long as you are around.
  • They will aggro something that attacks you similar to pets.
  • They will aggro something that aggros them, but only if you are around.
  • Enemies will not aggro NPCs until you are near by.

Why step 4?

Pyro - (Talk)15:02, 15 July 2013

Participating as little as possible in fights until boss was kinda the only way how I forced Shamala not to glitch. Because at some boss fights she only stood frozen and it did not matter whether boss agroed me or not. Terribly glitchy quests >.>

Reiiya (talk)15:37, 15 July 2013

Does this also apply to Akule in E1?

Pyro - (Talk)16:05, 15 July 2013

Akule Doesn't aggro on his own. I've seen him chill with Korsek Raptors.

More like terrible glitchy AIs...

Stuck Elizabeth

I made it to the final part of the Escape mission where the Unknown Man talks to you and summons Elizabeth. During the fight, she went up the exit ramp and then she got stuck. After that, she couldn't attack me with any spells or move anywhere with her teleport, and I couldn't reach her with any attacks (the mouse cursor became a little sword with a crossed out circle). It appears that either I knocked her back out of the map boundary or she teleported there herself. This made the mission unwinnable since I couldn't keep fighting. Maybe we should put a note on that mission saying to be careful with knockback or something, if this happens to someone else.

Post Generation Shamala

Where is she? She's not where she normally is in cor.

Dragon372111 (talk)17:21, 2 June 2013

If you paid attention to the storyline, Unknown Man kidnapped her.

Though I think its dumb on DevCAT's side not to put her back after G17 since you need her for the shapeshifting quests.

Destruction of Cor

I noticed when I fought the Demonic Warriors that they have Advanced Heavy Standers.

Just to be sure, did anyone also ping on them?

Lizlet (talk)17:30, 28 May 2013

It appears that only during that mission, they have it. other than that, I haven't seen them ping outside of that mission from my 2 playthroughs.

Alright, just making sure because wiki listed that they didn't have any passive defense for that mission

Lizlet (talk)07:35, 31 May 2013

AHS isn't a PD. It just makes the immune to stun, knockdown, and knockback.

Infodude575 (talk)09:08, 31 May 2013

Didn't mean to say Advanced now that I look back... LOL

Lizlet (talk)09:20, 31 May 2013

Fickle Fate: Escape.

I dont want to risk mucking up the page format (not good at wiki), but I'd like to correct someone on the fact there were 4 light banshees, not 3, unless it varies on difficulty (not sure what difficulty i was even on, Im total 1k with gold talents so i assume hardmode.

MasterGiegue (talk)07:30, 27 May 2013

It's level based, not talent based.

Format of this page...

Should is stay in touch with other generation pages...or stay as is?

Already started, but I left the old quest hidden if someone decides to put it back.

Actually, isn't it about time we edit the old mainstream template to have a separate section for rewards and a section for quest description?

Pyro - (Talk)14:40, 25 May 2013

Rewards: Yes

Briefing: Uhh...trivial.

I think we should include the briefing, since it is part of the game after all.

Infodude575 (talk)15:23, 25 May 2013

If not including the briefing, I rather have the previous template.

Pyro - (Talk)15:26, 25 May 2013

Well if you want to, we could replace all of that with where the "Information" part of the template is. course that would mean some of the ones that have the info template filled with information about the quest would have to be moved, and a lot of work would have to be put into putting in the briefings. I'm not sure how many users disregard the briefing, but it can be integrated somehow and may be a better way of keeping track of the quests when scrolling up and down.

Should it be noted somewhere that these mission monsters are collect-able in transformation journals?

For example spector monsters can be collected without going through the whole castle dungeon. A player can collect these mobs relatively quickly without having to go through the castle dungeons by existing the mission and re-enter.

Same with the bosses.

Serendove (talk)13:56, 24 May 2013

That should be in the Transformation Diary page.
