Wiki Home/Automated Server Status Guideline

From Mabinogi World Wiki

If you are looking to edit the actual status of the servers, go here.

Exclamation.png Wait! Read the guidelines!
Before you edit the statuses, please be sure to read the following guidelines.

This will change the icon of a server or channel. If you change the status of a server/channel, you must follow the link to the server/channel that you changed the status for and submit the reason in the appropriate section. If there is no information contained on the specific server's wiki page, the server will be updated as "online".

Editing Guidelines

There are three ways to change a setting, depending on what the setting controls:

  • Click the radio button to the left of the correct server status
  • Click the checkbox to the left of an item to toggle it "On" and "Off"
  • Use the Textfields to modify the IP and Port of a channel

After making your changes, hit either submit button and wait. If you get a red exclamation point, read the error, press your browser's BACK button, and try again. If you get the green check mark, your changes have been applied and the Status Box is being update. If you wait on that page, the updated status box will be loaded so that you may view your handiwork.

Special Options

  • IsEvent
    • This checkbox should be marked when an event is taking place and all relevant "Online" will automatically be changed to "Event". Likewise, unchecking the box will change relevant "Events" to "Online".
    • No other override regarding Events is needed.
  • OfflineOverride
    • Use this to specify what the status should be when a server cannot be reached. For example, specifying maintenance will make all offline servers display "maintenance".
  • UseChannelOverride
    • Use this to easily change all channels and servers to a custom status, regardless of whether or not they are online.
      • Use this setting in conjunction with ChannelOverride.
  • ChannelOverride
    • The custom status for all channels and servers.
      • Use this with UseChannelOverride.
    • Before setting this, if you're setting it because the Game Servers are "online" while the login server is "update/maintenance", then do not use this! The statuses are correct! As part of the maintenance process, Nexon constantly brings servers online to test them. The script is simply reflecting this.
  • UseGlobalOverride
    • Use this to override EVERY status, ie, Nexon, Game Status, Game Servers, ect, at once. Use this option sparingly.
      • Use this setting with GlobalOverride.
  • GlobalOverride
    • The custom status for ALL items.
      • Use this setting with UseGlobalOverride.
    • Before setting this, if you're setting it because the Game Servers are "online" while the login server is "update/maint", then do not use this! The statuses are correct! As part of the maintenance process, Nexon constantly brings servers online to test them. The script is simply reflecting this.

Single Overrides

Sometimes, it is necessary to change a single status. This is achieved by simply finding the server/channel entry and clicking the button next to the correct status. Don't forget to hit submit!
