Earth Alchemy Mastery Mastery

...whaaaaaaat ya doin'? oAo;

Elide (talk)18:04, 20 August 2017

Shhh~~

I knew there were gonna be complications when I did that replacement but I wanted to go sleep, the text replacement bot is on its way to fix things now.

EDIT: fudge, it deleted the history of one of them, gotta fix that.

Snowie (talk)21:25, 20 August 2017

Was just getting confused with the names and circles of redirects /o/ But as long as you're aware, I grant you permission to sleep :D

Elide (talk)22:07, 20 August 2017

Okay, using mine and Yai's combined powers, we fixed it.

There was still a copy of it existing on the Wiki but it seems like there were a bunch of text updates to do in the skill anyway.

Thank you for pointing that out, heheh.

Snowie (talk)22:45, 20 August 2017

You can use the it, but be careful, it's all data mined.

What exactly did you have in mind of updating using it?

Esileruf (talk)23:37, 28 January 2016

Yeah, I'm aware of its origin, but thank you! =p
It's mostly...

  • Repair costs
  • Missing icons
  • Enchant-related info (obviously not using unreleased ones even though they do show up)
  • Upgrades
  • Item descriptions
  • Stack sizes
  • Item limitations
  • Etc.

Basically a bunch of things that could easily be tested in-game but could take a lot of time.

Snowie Stormflower (talk)00:49, 29 January 2016

Be sure to cite your sources in the edit summary when you can~ :)

Furry Elise (talk)07:59, 29 January 2016

Will do! (What should I say when giving credit though?)

Snowie Stormflower (talk)10:20, 29 January 2016

A simple link back to the item page in the edit summary is good enough. :)

Furry Elise (talk)02:38, 30 January 2016

Just a question/note - Not sure all the repair info on that site is correct - was just looking at the Winter Princess Boots, which seems to be a special case? Repair cost of 1g listed on the wiki - the icon looks slightly different, too. Just an observation - still, any information is better than no information xD; (And this still allows me the excuse of making/cleaning icons, yes? >.>;)

Elide (talk)10:38, 7 February 2016

I believe that's because of the origin of the boots, they came from Character Cards/Shopping Bags for us, and that stuff usually has a repair cost of 1g. Maybe there's a filter in the client/server that checks these origins to change the repair cost in game.

I dunno where KR had their Winter Prince/Princess Sets from, but that could be why the DB shows a different value.

Snowie Stormflower (talk)11:16, 7 February 2016

The repair prices are based on a formula that uses the base price to calculate. However, items in-game can be received with a different base price, therefore the repair prices may differ from what you see in-game. Generally, all (with a few exceptions) clothing received from rebirthing / shopping bags come with a base price of 0g, therefore all repair prices will end up being 1g.

As for the icons, what about it looks slightly different?

Furry Elise (talk)14:52, 7 February 2016

Just for the Winter Princess Boots - the area near the ankles looked black on the site, but I think it might just be the grey color. The icons on the site are in gif format, so the colors differ slightly from the png images we use on the wiki. Guess that's just kind of nit-picking - and only things you'd notice when you're cleaning up icons and have zoomed in 12x xD;

Elide (talk)11:06, 8 February 2016

The images on the DB are from Sigkill, there's a chance they look slightly different.

If you look at most wings for example, all the icons are gray, so can't really use those here, heheh.

Misspell.

since you're the first editor I'm assuming you made that page, "Laughlinne Unbalanced Wrist". With that being said you misspelled Laighlinne as Laughlinne. I can't change it but I hope you can. I'm not sure if you did make the page or if you can change it. Just a heads up.

Blackjackz01:29, 26 January 2016

Oh gosh, it probably is that way because I made the pages by clicking their names on her partner page, I didn't think of reading those names twice, you got the original creator of that page to blame, lol. =p
But for future reference, you can change the name of a page by moving it using More -> Move, in the upper right corner of the page. If there are no longer any links to it you should also replace the content of the old page with {{delete|Reason}}

Thanks for pointing it out though!

Snowie Stormflower (talk)01:41, 26 January 2016

Thank you. that bit of advice will be a huge help.

New EXP rates

Before you get too invested in those numbers, are you sure they're right?

It's not normal for there to be decimals in mabinogi's numbers.

Doomsday31415 (talk)10:29, 17 April 2013

Well I'm doing everything manually... Look even after calculating, this would all remain decimal: http://puu.sh/2BUo9

  • It also seems like the decimals happen more often for now because some monsters give very low EXP, once you go higher there won't be as many decimals anymore.
LittlesnowEU (talk)10:35, 17 April 2013

On a side-note, now that I look back, it seems that this change in Experience has happened much sooner...

http://puu.sh/2BV57

LittlesnowEU (talk)10:54, 17 April 2013

If those are the numbers the system's giving, then there's little arguing the decimals.

I wasn't aware you could have partial experience, though...

Doomsday31415 (talk)10:58, 17 April 2013

It was always possible as far as I remember... http://puu.sh/2BVkA
Another thing I've noticed with EXP given to a player is that the system avoids values with more than 2 decimals, it rounds up to the nearest number and ignores the rest from there.
(i.e. if something gives 12.647 EXP, you'd get 12.65, 10 of such kills will also give you 126.50 instead of 126.47)

  • Also noticed that everything in Iria was boosted by roughly 30%
LittlesnowEU (talk)11:03, 17 April 2013

I guess I'm just confusing it with other systems. Like gold costs.

But yeah, if it doesn't round to a whole number, it'll probably round to one or two decimal places.

Doomsday31415 (talk)13:46, 17 April 2013

If you didn't notice it by the time you see this message, please check your email. :) Thanks~

I replied! Sorry I don't check my e-mail that often, heheh.

Doomsday31415 (talk)11:37, 30 March 2013

I don't know how to read that pattern though, I'm gonna need a few examples to actually understand what you mean....

LittlesnowEU (talk)11:38, 30 March 2013

From what I've seen, the ID related to each item isn't on the wiki, but...

Perhaps it'll be easier to see the pattern if I sort the table like this:

Notice how each stat is the same as the one above and to the right, with the exception of the cylinder.
Item Sword Blunt Wand Bow Cylinder
Name Value M F M F M F M F M F
1 Sign 600 str ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
2 Sign 600 luck luck will str luck ? dex dex int ?
3 Sign 600 luck will str luck str ? dex luck will ?
4 Sign 600 ? str luck str ? ? luck ? ? ?
5 Sign 600 str luck str dex ? luck will str ? ?
6 Sign 800 luck str dex ? ? will str dex int ?
7 Sign 800 str dex dex ? will str dex str luck ?
8 Sign 800 dex dex luck ? str dex str will will ?
9 Sign 800 dex luck will str dex str will int str ?
10 Sign 1000 luck will str ? str ? int ? ? ?
Doomsday31415 (talk)11:57, 30 March 2013

Oh I think I see it now, it goes like this, correct?
Ego pattern.png

LittlesnowEU (talk)12:13, 30 March 2013

Thank you for clarifying this! I was quite confused while reading Doomsday's other post.

Right!

Doomsday31415 (talk)12:19, 30 March 2013

I hope you don't plan on using that as a template for equipment... Data should not be derived from what is observed, it should be obtained directly from the game.

Also, defaulting tradability and colors to 0 will create inaccuracies in the items, as they do have an affect.

I don't think there are any others at the moment, so I don't think we have much of a choice... (I also haven't seen any effects from the colors)

LittlesnowEU (talk)00:37, 27 March 2013

Angevon does, but she seems to be busy. Also, I'm building something that'll have the data readily copy/pastable so that the wiki can stay up to date without inaccuracies (and me being here).

Colors isn't used yet because I was demoted before I got to it, but it was supposed to be used to replace the dye template's 'Dye Type' part for accuracy. I'll probably get to fixing that up later, whenever I get to it.

Maybe tomorrow, during my break in between my classes.
And if I want to get to school... I should go to sleep. Goodnight ^^

So basically, making templates for equipment that is currently missing is a waste of time at the moment? (And I kinda made this page because I didn't find any documentation on StyleEquip.)

LittlesnowEU (talk)00:58, 27 March 2013

Prooobably, if my work takes off. I hope to get it mostly complete before the vocaloid patch, so people don't go insane over missing information. I doubt I'll get it done by then, though.
Noooow good night.

+ updating the documentation was one of my many to-dos. Too much to-do.

Eeeh. Nevermind. Changing up of the dye template would require moving all the parts information into the data page, which is too much work, especially right after I had just finished fixing up all the equipment pages.

I guess you could disregard the color fields, but I would still recommended not to, in case it is implemented in the future.

Alright then, I'll just take a look at what kind of parts you gave what number and follow that example, for now.

LittlesnowEU (talk)11:47, 27 March 2013

Well, it seems I got it to work while also removing the load of work by transcluding another template within the template, so the color fields are of use now.

Okay that looks simple enough to understand. If there's no Part B/C for example or something is not dyeable, it's just code 0?

LittlesnowEU (talk)01:55, 28 March 2013

Yes, by definition, 0 is an undyable part, but any number other than those listed in the switch results in undyable (since dyeing of those parts is not yet available, e.g. wood dye).

text replace

As it is, only admins can use the wiki's text-replace script. If you ever want us to do one, just leave a note on my talk page and I (or another admin) will get it done and save you a lot of time.

Angevon (Talk)08:57, 14 March 2013

Alright, I'll keep that in mind, thank you.

LittlesnowEU (talk)13:44, 14 March 2013

RE:Do we put normal clothing or G15 clothing data here?

Probably... normallllll...?

We could add a note in the description column that it's... however much different... with [[dis clothes]] and [[dat clothes]].

Hmmm, would [this] work? Could probably add a small note to specify the clothes, too...

LittlesnowEU (talk)02:06, 28 February 2013

That's why I was thinking about just listing them in the description and their alterations because they don't have a category of their own or anything.
