Daze in PvP

Does it even work? My SK is Rank 1 and I kicked my opponent five times, not once did he get dazed...

Infodude57518:46, 17 July 2012

I want to know this as well because i just got a lvl 19 daze duration on my knuckles.

Godwrath1 (talk)13:21, 4 April 2013

It does not work in PVP, no. It's already been confirmed and on the page. You should have read that before replying to this old post.

Damage per Kick

It would be totally OP if this thing did 700% x 3. Anyway, how much damage are the first two kicks?

Infodude57513:43, 23 June 2012

It's proably like pummel damage wise. Maybe 700/3?

Yinato13:45, 23 June 2012

Vs One-Eye Klugger w/ Rank C Spinning Upper/Somersault Kick:

Spinning Uppercut: 370 ~ 410
Somersault Kick: (60 ~ 90 x 2) + 200 ~ 250
Normal Attack: 60 ~ 90
All non-critical values.

In no way is it equally divided.

Infodude57513:57, 23 June 2012

First off, I said that it's probably like pummel damage wise; culmulative % is 700, nothing about it being equal. And for all you know, it could be equally divided at this point. You're forgetting about balance and damage range probably?

Yinato14:02, 23 June 2012

My Balance is 80%, and my Damage Range is 85 ~ 159. But if the first two kicks match my normal attack, there's no way its equally divided into three.

Still needs more testing.

Infodude57514:13, 23 June 2012

So you just answered your own question with that last sentence basically? Also, just because balance is 80%, it doesn't mean that you won't end up hitting the lowest value. Take klugger's prot and def into consideration, along with the fact that the damage of each hit varies per kick, and you can just as easily do more damage the first kick than the final kick (even if the % isn't evenly distributed).

Yinato14:25, 23 June 2012

The damage certainly is not divided equally. The last kick always does the most damage. However, the total damage IS what's listed in your skill info page (and on the wiki). That's the combined damage from the 3 kicks. Does it really matter how it's divided among them?

DANTE20XX14:40, 23 June 2012

Common sense says that it doesn't really matter since you'll get all 3 kicks off anyway for a culmulative of 700% damage. Also, when it comes to percentages in multi-hit attacks, you can't really say it is always like that unless it's explicitly stated in the .pack files. Look at AR for example: I've seen a lot of cases where any 1 of the previous 4 arrows end up doing more damage than the 5th arrow.

Yinato14:48, 23 June 2012

Yeah you can't really "miss" any of the 3 hits with this skill. They're always going to hit. However, the last kick really does ALWAYS do more damage (unless maybe the 1st or 2nd one crits and 3rd does not).

The first two hits are much lower than the 3rd. That's just how the skill is set up. For example, let's say at rank 1 the first and 2nd hits only add up to about 400% dmg together...then the last hit does 300% by itself. Just a random estimate that I'm sure is off by a lot, but that's the damage difference between the first two and the 3rd hit. That can be proven time and again that the majority of the damage comes from the last kick.

DANTE20XX15:01, 23 June 2012

Somersault kicks always hit for some...reason. friend of mine smashed while I was training SK then for some reason...I still hit them at the knockback range o-o...

S•A•R•I•A15:07, 23 June 2012

I think the more important question is: how exactly the damage is divided? Not sure whether this is going to end better than Smash dps wise when factoring in opponent's defense and protection.

Concussion Effect

If it cancels out Magic and Alchemy then... Sprites, Alchemists, etc. can only rely on melee attacks, am I right? This also means the Doppelganger can't do anything besides summon clones (they don't use melee, ever).

By the way, how does this affect the enemy's AI, as they can try to load a Magic/Alchemy skill but won't be able to.

Infodude57517:27, 9 January 2012

i'm pretty sure the cunccusion effect will be just like charge, and they'll be able to use magic/alch again as soon as they're not stunned. just my guess thow.

Kizuurei20:50, 11 April 2012

I just discovered something terribly brokenly awesome; you can use it on dragon-type monsters to prevent them from casting skills like Dragon Fireball and Rain of Thunder. Made G8's Crumena a cakewalk for me and my guildies.

Pyroblade19:36, 9 June 2012

If it really works on monster-based magic skills, too...

Joy. Use it on Master Lich... Broken as hell.

Infodude57500:36, 10 June 2012

I just had an idea.

If it does cancel Monster Skills, can one use it on a Skeleton Squad and it won't blow up? :D

Infodude57518:36, 26 June 2012

Death invokes Self-Destruct. Though it maybe the only exception to the concussion and might not work...can't say for sure.

S•A•R•I•A19:29, 26 June 2012

I don't think Self Destruct is classed as a magic or Alchemy skill. I'm pretty sure its a passive trait.

Tellos07:16, 27 June 2012

Um, what monster skills are canceled? Dark Commander was dazed and he still used Summon Monster...

Somersault Kick, if successful, will prevent [Tethra's] Life Drain.

User:Kiddo150

I'd love some confirmation on this, since Monster Life Drain is not the same as our Life Drain.

Infodude57508:53, 4 August 2012

On a side note, Blinker's Beholder Beam is also different from Monster Life Drain and our Life Drain. (Just so nobody is confused.)

Pyro - (Talk)14:20, 4 August 2012

Kinda hard to do it vs Blinker since flying causes the kicks to miss.

Infodude57517:15, 4 August 2012

Exactly.

Pyro - (Talk)22:47, 4 August 2012

Dazing Barrier Spikes

Is it possible? Just curious.

Infodude57515:42, 10 July 2012

Rank 2 Training Requirement

Does a Corrupt Alchemist count or is it strictly Shadow?

Infodude57510:56, 1 July 2012

Bump...

Infodude57515:13, 5 July 2012

I'm pretty sure they are lumped in the same category...
