Since Lances transition to 3 hit, and since they are classified as 'Very-Slow', wouldn't the stun time be 1.65 sec?

What rank 9 Lance Mastery really does it lower it's knockdown gauge addition just enough so you can deal 3 hits without having to delay like N+1. It's not a true 3-hit weapon as you can't N+1 to get 4 hits without the enemy coming out of stun. At any rate, even 2.3 stun time is a liability since you are vulnerable after a lance combo...

After continued use of my lance, I believe the stun time is actually closer around 1.8-2 seconds. I'll have to get a stopwatch or something to record this more accurately, but it's definitely not stunning for as long as my gladius.

After rank 9's hit boost and stun decrease, does the attack delay at the end of a combo also decrease?

Pyroblade00:32, 5 January 2012

I don't think it changes it at all...

Seeing as I have it R9 myself now, yeah you're right. Big problem is it makes it really difficult to defend yourself after. Even with lance counter. I'm de-nagled and pretty lagless and I can just barely get Lance Counter up in time. Guess lances were just meant for giant, since they can just N+Smash anyway...

Pyroblade22:16, 8 January 2012

By the way, does anyone else with r9+ mastery want to note how much reaction time they have right after a lance combo?

Title: Defense + 2

'When equipped with a Lance, Defense +2'.

I'm puzzled. Since Lances are NOT defensive-based weapons, why would it increase Defense?

Infodude57522:35, 6 October 2011

There is this large plate on the front(?) of the lance. I guess that's where the defense comes from.

I find that... rather weird. Since that plate is angled to the side, not the front.

Infodude57523:34, 6 October 2011

It the only reasonable explanation I can think of. x.x quite frankly it looks like a shield or a crest of some sort. either way, it just somehow gives defense with no possible official explanation from devCat.

Maybe they were being stupid...
