Sitting increases healing? Methinks so

If you read the "See Details" on the skills page, it says to "make them (your patient) sit down before using the skill". While my bro and I were running a dungeon, I couldn't heal my brother because he kept moving around..., so remembering what the details page said told him to sit down and then when I used the skill... it seemed to almost double the effect! Instead of healing 10-12%(I have rank F), I was healing around 17%. Going to confirm this with a few more tests but feel free to test it out yourself to help me confirm.--Js16 02:34, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

EVERYONE already knows this. --Kevin (•Talk•) 02:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
This is explained in the description of the skill. --Zephyre 23:25, 31 March 2009 (EST)
To be exact... sitting allows the skill to work properly. If not sitting, the first aid skill will only work at about half its full effect. --Sephiros 05:46, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Dex's Effect on First Aid

Anyone know if Dex affects the wound heal %? - User:Health

No it does not --Kevin (•Talk•) 02:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok so Dex appears to have a big effect on wound healing %. It obviously heals more than what it says(Min15, Max20) but my testing was inconclusive. Will test more later. Health well does it or does it not? i will help verify this just let me know when and were, as long as its on rauri (spelling?) or mari. slayer1o1 01:53, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Learning First Aid

Wiki says you need to be in deadly status to learn. You actually only need to be wounded (even 1 single wound is enough.)

You don't have to be wounded, just damaged I tried it with a character that took three damage, no wounds and Tir healer

where do you get the quests?

elf and giant get them as part of the beginner quests. slayer1o1 22:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

My friend was trying to get First Aid on a mule, but even deadly with 3/4ths wounds, Agnes and Manus would not give up the skill. Even after dieing multiple times to bears to get wounded enough. But instantly got it, with just a few wounded for Dilys--Tricky B Bomb (Talk) 22:58, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Manus Didn't Work

Wiki says get treated by any healer with any amount of wounds. Well, got my char treated by Manus and I did not learn or even gain knowledge about the skill. Might be some other requirements --Js16 13:36, 4 August 2008 (PDT)

Just tried again, with 43 wound this time, and still no knowledge of the skill. Either Manus doesn't work or there is another requirement.--Js16 13:38, 4 August 2008 (PDT)

You have to be in deadly. --Fruitrecruit 19:26, 20 January 2009

you do NOT have to be in deadly, only certain healers will give you the skill. I know for sure the healer in Tir give you the skill. I think the one in Quili will give it to humans also, need it verified although. slayer1o1 17:36, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Rank D and higher

When I talk to the Healer in Qilla, Heulfryn, he just says he'd be happy to teach me something, and doesn't go on. I have rank E... Do I have to complete his part-time job or something? Would it be easier to get the Manus ticket from Fleta, or is the book in his special shop also not implemented? -- Price

Wait, nevermind. I misread. Heulfryn's quest is to rank from D to C. My bad. -- Price

HP from ranking

Is the HP from ranking First Aid base HP or does it go to the HP in () on the stat screen? Need to know to make the stat CP chart. ---Angevon 00:38, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

HP is added directly to stat. Health

Collect Sulfur?

Where can I get the Collect Sulfur quest? I've gotten the quest to get rank 9 First Aid, and im at rank A. I have no idea what to do from there. --Kevin Talk«) 19:17, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Rank 9 is not implemented into NA yet. Even though the skill isn't implemented, you'll still receive the quest, but you won't be able to meet the requirements. Also, the only place that has sulfur that I know of are the Sulfur Pits of Zardin. But I may be completely wrong, since I don't know exactly when rank 9 First Aid will be here. --Powder Rune 19:24, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh. Nexon scammed me...again.. :< I wanted to rank First Aid so badly. Thanks anyways, Rune --Kevin Talk«) 20:24, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
that can't be right, cause i got a reach r9 quest for first aid ._. --Hopedestiny 12:56, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Kevin just said that he got his too. Just because you have a quest doesn't mean you can necessarily complete it. --Jerl 12:36, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

r9

Is it out yettttt? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 06:10, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

According to the Japanese Wiki, you get the quest to collect sulphur quest from Heulfryn. I've tried, and I'm pretty sure many others have also tried, but it doesn't seem like this skill is implmented yet. Zephyre 19:55, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Heulfryn's wool quest

I'm currently working on ranking up my fist aid. However, I did not get the 2x2 quest scroll. Farix 03:58, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Rank 6-> 5

The quest asks you to deliver a series of things to Dylis "to help clean up and freshen up" the healer's house:

20 Fine Handmade Bandages 40 Fine Fabrics 1 Blue Rose Bouquet (Wednesday only item from Delen's Shop) 1 more step not possible to see yet

rank 1 first aid

Would it be possible to use skill training seals purchased from the seal merchant to get rank 1 first aid? haven't tried it yet but it doesn't seem like there are any restrictions on what skills to use the seals on besides non r1 skills

Vaida678 (talk)14:39, 27 March 2014

First aid is capped. That means the rank up button doesn't appear when you 100 prof train a skill. Don't even try it because you'd be wasting seals.

Infodude575 (talk)14:51, 27 March 2014

Theoretically, yes, you could push it. But Info is right. The "Advance" button will not appear since it is capped. I mean, it doesn't hurt to try and get it ready to be ranked when it does get uncapped, but I wouldn't put the effort into it.

Inb4 the next uncap task is a super easy one

Infodude575 (talk)15:54, 27 March 2014

That is rather unfortunate, considering a lot of RP characters have Rank 6 and above of this skill. If I remember correctly, Millia has rank 1 of this.

TNinja (talk)08:19, 5 June 2014

Similar situations like Mana Shield have a rank button but cannot be used, even though you can fully train that rank. Considering the skill actually does have entries for unreleased ranks, unlike newer capped skills, there is a slight possibility they might have messed up and not set a rank restriction other than training method. Though very doubtful, I'd say only waste it if you have nothing else to waste your seals on.

Kapra - (Talk)01:13, 28 March 2014

I thought the rank up appearing for Mana Shield was a glitch? And if they did mess up and First Aid is rankable to 1, wouldn't that be glitch abuse?

Infodude575 (talk)04:02, 28 March 2014

It was a glitch. and I'm pretty sure there's some sort of flag/precaution in place so it wouldn't be rankable.

For the record, I had fully trained Rank 6 Cooking before it was available for rank up and the button did not appear. I expect it to be the same for First Aid.

Blargel (talk)11:45, 5 June 2014

Is anyone else having difficulty finding the drops? I've hunted for Capybara Fur for over 12 in-game hours and I have yet to find even one.

Infodude57520:01, 27 July 2011

xth person to say this.

Don't use your fists. You don't get any drops when you have no weapons.

It's an anti bot thing. I am going to put that in the first aid page.

Aubog00720:42, 27 July 2011

WHAAAAAAAT?!

That's the lamest Anti-Bot thing I've ever heard!

Infodude57521:05, 27 July 2011

I think that's pretty clever on Nexon's side 8D

For some guy who can hit 100 ~ 200 with his fists, I don't think so!

Infodude57522:03, 27 July 2011

0 Dura and fists reduce your chances for drops drastically... that anti-bot thing has been out for a while...

TwiliTerror21:08, 27 July 2011

Don't some "nub" weapons like Short Sword, Wooden Mallet, etc. also be affected by the anti-bot thing? I mean, they do use that stuff sometimes.

Infodude57521:24, 27 July 2011

The "nub" weapons would eventually be 0 dura and then they'd have to repair it, cutting in theoir gold supply, thus giving them less of a reason to do it.

Future Data

How do we know, for example, to rank First Aid completely to rank 1 requires a total of 164 AP? It's not like any server has rank 1 First Aid yet. So how is that?

With the right program, the game files can be extracted from the client. Some are text files that have all the skills' information in it.
