Binds on equip?

My friend just pulled one of these from the Demonic Box Gachapon, and (we thing) after he put it on, it bound to him. Did this happen to anyone else? Should we make a note of this?

Arkton (talk)12:48, 5 June 2013

Was it enchanted? Both of the possible enchanted bracers that come from that gacha will personalize upon equip because of the enchant.

See: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Heavy_Punch#Heavy_Punch http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Speedy#Speedy

Midnightlust (talk)12:51, 5 June 2013

No, because it had either this enchant: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Speedy#Speedy
Or this one on it: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Heavy_Punch#Heavy_Punch

Both of those bind it to your character once you equip it.

DANTE20XX (talk)12:52, 5 June 2013

Ah, alright. Now what is the principle for removing the enchants, does that remove the bind?

Arkton (talk)13:07, 5 June 2013

Overwriting the enchants will not undo the personalization.

LittlesnowEU (talk)13:10, 5 June 2013

Unfortunately, even if you place a new enchant on top, it will still be personalized.

Midnightlust (talk)13:10, 5 June 2013

Good to know. Thank you all for this information.

Arkton (talk)13:13, 5 June 2013

Once you personalize something, its bound to you forever. You can't get rid of it.

Infodude575 (talk)14:13, 5 June 2013

You can, however, potentially retrieve the enchant itself by burning the item.

Although then it falls on to whether the enchant itself is personalized.

Doomsday31415 (talk)14:55, 5 June 2013

But we're not talking about destroying the item are we?

Infodude575 (talk)00:32, 6 June 2013

This is talking about the item itself for the most part.

I just wanted to make it clear that this does not necessarily apply to the enchant as well.

Ferghus a herp-derping

He gives Bear Knuckle upgrades for Bracers, including the Artisan.

It's been a couple months since it's been like that, but Nexon never fixed it, so I'm thinking it's intentional.

Well I don't know actually, I don't seem to be able to reproduce this. -> http://i.imgur.com/HYDic.jpg

Perhaps it is related to whether they are smithed or bought from the Trade Assistant Imp. Ancient Powder has differences as well.

LittlesnowEU (talk)16:01, 29 September 2012

Ancient Powder has differences because it's a completely different item. There are multiple "Ancient Powders" using the same icon/stats.

But Bracer Knuckles should all be the same.

Not with Herp Derpen Ferghen

Johnkilla (talk)10:32, 30 September 2012

Ah. I see now.

The second Brace Knuckles are special upgraded, they literally "magically" turn into Bear Knuckles, although it has no effect on anything other than what can be enchanted on it (only if there were Bracer/Bear Knuckle-specific enchants) and what upgrades you can put on it. But upgrades dont matter since at that point, your upgrades should aleady be maxed and irreversible.

Bracer Knuckle:

Category="/equip/twohand/weapon/knuckle/brace_knuckle/giant_knuckle/smith_repairable/no_scale/glove_knuckle/"

S Upgraded:

Category="/equip/twohand/weapon/knuckle/bear_knuckle/giant_knuckle/smith_repairable/no_scale/glove_knuckle/"

R Upgraded:

Category="/equip/twohand/weapon/knuckle/bear_knuckle/giant_knuckle/smith_repairable/no_scale/glove_knuckle/"

I'm pretty sure the upgrades were still there before I even upgraded, but if that's what the game code says, I can't really argue with that unless I find a clean pair and check again.

Johnkilla (talk)13:28, 1 October 2012

Actually, I take it back, I just checked again with other blacksmiths and they're saying the same thing.

Johnkilla (talk)13:32, 1 October 2012

Do we need to place that "r3" next to it? It dosen't need to be r3 to actually use the manual; right?

JamerH14:09, 13 July 2012

That was referring to the manual's rank.

Pyro - (Talk)14:24, 13 July 2012

Alright.

JamerH14:49, 13 July 2012

Bracer knuckle manual

I'm not very good at editing, but can someone please change the page to say that the manual -is- implemented, at least from fishing on the beach? I just recently got one

Evee07:11, 2 June 2012

It already said that. It only said G16S2 for jousting.

Pyro - (Talk)10:14, 2 June 2012

She meant the future content section tag, which I removed.

Angevon (Talk)11:04, 2 June 2012

Yes, Thank you

Evee07:34, 3 June 2012

...ehh while we're talking about the manual...how hard is it to fish for it? So far I've just pissed off the neighborhood D:

S•A•R•I•A00:12, 21 June 2012

For some reason, my Bare Handed Damage is MUCH MUCH stronger than with Brace Knuckle.

BH: 118~158

BK: 77~116

Just what..?

Infodude57514:10, 31 May 2012

Just what is your Will? Plus, anyone know if these are dyeable, and if so, what dye type?

Onionsong09:45, 1 June 2012

My Will is close to 200, and my Str 330.

Infodude57509:50, 1 June 2012

That didn't happen to me and the cloth part is leather dye pallet for normal dyes. I haven't gotten the metal dye I wanted to see if the other part is also dyeable.

Pyro - (Talk)10:48, 1 June 2012

Oh, Infodude, that is because when you had other weapons on your damage was strength based. However, after equipping knuckles, damage is will based. Str effects damage with knuckles very little. As such, it's better to wear a title like Connector of Connous and Rano.

Pyro - (Talk)10:50, 1 June 2012

More like str doesn't affect damage with knuckles at all.

DANTE20XX13:55, 7 June 2012

There is still a possibility that str effects things such as Knuckle Balance, I believe. But that's just a theory right now.

Pyro - (Talk)14:34, 7 June 2012

It doesn't. I used Tybalt's Fencing skills and saw no change at all in my stats.

Onionsong14:59, 7 June 2012

It's dyeable with a metal dye, too.

Deletion14:17, 1 June 2012

Legendary?

I'm not sure this should be classified as a "Legendary" weapon. It has no special effects, no backstory, and it's even smithable. It's not even fomorian; human blacksmiths can repair it. I think we should just call it a rare weapon that happens to be purchasable from the imp shop.

Pyroblade21:38, 6 June 2012
  1. There are three other Legendary weapons without special effects.
  2. Not all legendary weapons have back-story.
  3. How do you know it's not Fomorian?
  4. It's repairable with gold because it can be smithed as well.

Point is, the definition of a legendary weapon is a non-Fomor weapon that is sold in the limited time tab of the Commerce Imp's store.

Pyro - (Talk)23:26, 6 June 2012

On the #3 part, it's not a Fomorian weapon--despite of it being sold in the Trade Commerce Imp's shop. Why? Because it can be specially upgraded and it can be repaired at Blacksmiths, instead of the regular method with the Commerce Imp/Ogre/Goblin.

Dejosa23:30, 6 June 2012

You just repeated exactly what I said, that doesn't mean it's not a Legendary weapon.

Pyro - (Talk)23:32, 6 June 2012

I don't think it's meant to be a Legendary Weapon. If any, the Champion one should be.

Dejosa23:36, 6 June 2012

Champion being legendary is an opinion, it has higher max damage and lower minimum damage, that can be viewed as weaker or stronger. The point is, this isn't something for interpretation, it's a fact.

Pyro - (Talk)00:22, 7 June 2012

I think discussion about an item being Legendary or not is pointless as debating over what flavour of ice cream to get.

Dejosa00:43, 7 June 2012

Legendary weapons are randomly purchasable. Mace of Mercy, White Wing Staff, and Bracer Knuckle are not legendary.

The legendary weapons are Elsinor, Caladbolg, Masterpiece Bow, Tyrfing, Venom Sword, Tethra, and Brionac.

Tellos01:21, 7 June 2012

White Wing Staff is Legendary, though it is questionable considering the only mention was a "white-winged" god was an inspiration. Mace of mercy is...well...more rather ancient considering Slates are enchanted stone entities, so let's throw that in the pile.

...now as for the Bracer Knuckle, It's not legendary if NPCs like Mina and Keane have them...then again...look at Price and his random Caladbolg...He probably obtained one in his travels while going into varies places of Uladh. My personal opinion on this matter that it is not legendary, though the fact that Gold is used to repair it makes it even more less legendary considering normal blacksmiths and weapon shops can repair it just fine, in where fomorian weapons require the special care of Fomors to repair. I'm sure they could easily repair human made weapons though...

S•A•R•I•A01:46, 7 June 2012

Legendary Weapon=Non-Fomor Weapon Bought from Limited Time Tab
And just for a moment if we forget that for hypothetical reasons, there is still no harm on having it on the page. What is the real point of this discussion?

Pyro - (Talk)01:58, 7 June 2012

Exactly, what's the point? This is like debating over what flavour of ice cream is the best.

Dejosa02:00, 7 June 2012

Ehh that's like saying it's not a thousand years old, but 997 years old...

aside that, the point would be to fix the category of the knuckle, should it be deemed legendary or not...well it looks like it's gonna stay legendary since majority of the community finds it okay to be here.

S•A•R•I•A02:08, 7 June 2012

Just because it's in the limited tab doesn't mean anything :l

I don't mind that it's on the page. I'm just saying that it might not be legendary if NPCs have it (I'm not counting the Caladbolg)...though it could have been smithed...or maybe stolen from somewhere...like the Falias Treasures. If anything it's more rather "limited" than legendary.

S•A•R•I•A02:02, 7 June 2012

If there has to be a discussion on whether or not it is "legendary" then the definition of Legendary is too arbitrary and should not be used at all for this item.

Angevon (Talk)05:30, 7 June 2012

Nerys does not give the gem upgrade for +2 critical and +1 balance

Johnkilla15:43, 3 June 2012

Nevermind, I edit it myself.

Johnkilla15:47, 3 June 2012

Talking to Granat I see some unknown upgrade available, but not any other Taillteann NPC.

Pyro - (Talk)14:31, 3 June 2012

does it give anything?

S•A•R•I•A14:31, 3 June 2012

I can't view it yet, just shows up as question marks.

Pyro - (Talk)14:56, 3 June 2012

Oh that's normal when you can't access an upgrade o-o...try getting a upgrade or so and check back with him? it's probably some special upgrade he can do and no one else can.

S•A•R•I•A14:59, 3 June 2012

Missing information

It has the default Gem Repair 1 upgrade, and it can also be enchanted with 2H enchants. Can someone add this in?
