Description

At first glance, the smiling man in the chef's coat appears to be a gentle giant of the kitchen, but his bulging arms and fiery gaze tell the tale of a tried and true adventurer.

A highly skilled chef and part of the Aces. His real name is unknown and simply goes by Culinary Artist. He is a Giant with a strong passion for food and cooking through the skills Tasting, Ingredient Hunting, and Catering. However, very little is known about him, and his opinion about the other Aces is never voiced. He travels around with his trusty Flying Food Truck.

The Saga: Iria II (Spoilers)

Prologue - Aces

To help Young Tarlach fulfill his dream of eating chocolate steak, Merlin tries to attract the Culinary Artist's attention by presenting him rare ingredients. The first two attempts with a big Abb Neagh Carp along with Blago Noir and Errans Sauvignon grapes fail, but the Juiciest Boar finally summons the Culinary Artist who flies in and chops up the meat, then agrees to cook for the group, also attracting Professor J.

Episode 1 - Merlin

After hearing Merlin talk about a story of defeating a Giant Brown Bear, Culinary Artist tells the story from the bear's perspective, saying it wanted to become big and strong by defeating Foxes and Wolves. This upsets Young Tarlach where Merlin quickly excuses himself by saying he lied about his story; the story finishes with the bear living happily ever after.

Culinary Artist then requests the group to deliver some ingredients to Glenis before flying off.

Trivia

• Despite the Aces acting as the main characters of The Saga: Iria II, Culinary Artist had made the least appearances out of all the Aces. He only appears at the end of the prologue, and is never seen again after the beginning of Episode 1.
• It is possible that the Culinary Artist is the giant chef named Falc mentioned in the books The Good Son and The Fish Shop Lad's Tale.
  • If that is his real name, Falc or Falk is derived from falcon and follows the common theme of Giant NPCs having names of Germanic origin.
