  • The School offers some classes in which you can learn a lot by attending, but please be aware that the tuition is quite expensive. Combat lessons are quite affordable, but magic lessons are so expensive that only the rich can afford them.
I can tell you this, though. It's much cheaper and more effective to attend class and learn new skills, as opposed to studying all by yourself.

  • You can attend classes and get training from instructors in school but you can also learn a lot simply by reading books. There aren't any schools around here so if you're interested in learning some new knowledge, consider reading up about it.

  • I usually don't go into the details, CharacterName, but I'll make an exception for you. So listen carefully.
You may learn new skills at the School. I'm sure you know by now the School is located east from here.
Inside the School campus there's a man near the training ground with long hair covering his face, who speaks in a serious manner. His name is Ranald. Talk to him if you're interested in learning Combat skills.
Also if you're interested in learning Magic skills, I suggest you go into the classroom and see Lassar. She's a bit talkative, but her skills are incredible.
Well, to tell the truth I learned my Magic skills from her as well.
If you've made up your mind to learn new things in life, I suggest you go all out and don't be lazy!

  • [gain School keyword]
Ah, you'll need to go to the School for that. Talk to one of the teachers with that keyword. That should get you started with classes.
Find the guidepost near the Bank down the street. Once you do, it should be easy to locate the School. Keep in mind that the guideposts around town are there to help you out.

  • Learning is a journey with many beginnings and no end. The world is so vast, and there's just so much we don't know.
  • Do you think that if I don't give up and keep pushing forward, I can become remarkable?
How much longer would I have to keep pushing myself in order to finally become the person I want to be?
In my family, I felt like I was the only one who wasn't doing anything extraordinary. Every night when we gathered around the table for supper, thoughts like that would weigh so heavily on my mind...
And... when I think about it, perhaps that's why I came all the way out here... Maybe I was running away from those feelings of inferiority.

  • Training is important, but it’s just as important to know one’s limitations.
Overworking your body will render your muscles about as durable as moist tissue paper. It’s important to challenge your limits gradually, pushing a little further step by step.
  • It’s more or less accepted as 'common wisdom' that Elves have a hard time learning swordsmanship. Personally, I think it’s more than possible to overcome this difficulty with persistent hard work.
In my youth, I took great pride in the fact that only a handful of warriors could fend off a blow from my scimitar. With blade in hand, I carved a path across the battlefield during our war with the Giants.
  • Maike and I have been friends since we were young. We used to train together back in those days, believing that perhaps life would lead us down similar paths.
Those were such peaceful times, thinking back on it. We’d train so hard we’d just slump to the ground, entirely spent. My older sister would smirk at us, saying we still had a long way to go…
...Apologies. I didn’t mean to get lost in a reverie. A-ahem.

  • Some of the Giants back home tend to grumble about how Milletians like yourself are quick learners, with exceptional strength and powers.
What types of training do you partake in? Surely your abilities are the result of your tireless training, however gifted you may be.
It is foolish of them to covet someone else’s talents while ignoring all the hard work through which those skills were forged.
  • What kind of training do I usually partake in?
I discuss a wide variety of topics with as many passengers as I can, in order to learn about all sorts of things. In fact, I’m doing it now, talking with you.
At each day’s end, I sort through all the information I have collected to figure out what is useful to me and what is not.
Travel brings new tidings every day. Large or small, you need to keep your ears open to the people around you if you wish to gather intel faster than your competition.

Haha, you can find Karis relaxing in Port Connous.
  • I don’t think I’m in any position to instruct you about anything, (Character Name).
Haha, if you’re set on attending a class, I recommend the Dunbarton Magic School. The teacher there is well known for his skills and knowledge.

  • Uh… What are you asking me about training for? I’m not sure what kind of answer you’re looking for.
Are you talking about things like conversational skills for coaxing people’s real thoughts and feelings out of them? Pfft, I can’t just teach you such a valuable skill for free! Skills like that are coveted even by aristocrats in the Royal Court!
  • I’ve traveled with merchants since I was young, so I never really attended proper classes.
It’s okay, though. I don’t have any regrets about it. I’ve gotten to meet so many different people, and managed to learn a lot--including some stuff that they’ll never teach you in schools.

Past that, I think that life experiences are much more important than any amount of studying you can do. Again, CharacterName, just look at me. Even as an Imp, I've had tons of experiences. If there are things that you haven't tried yet, stop waiting and do it!

I guess what I'm saying is you have to practice, practice, practice until you can pick out the enemy's weak point with your eyes closed.
